WWW Wednesday

Hey Everyone,

It’s time for another round of WWW Wednesday!

www

Just as a quick refresher, this meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and is simple in concept.

Follow the 3 W questions below and answer them:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

All right, let’s get this show on the road!

Technically, I am not reading this one just yet. I am taking a day off to concentrate on my writing. and will start reading it tomorrow. That being said, I am stoked about this one!

I’ve listened to the MFM Podcast for years now, and I attended a local event to get this book and got to talk with some other Murderinos. Can’t wait!

Blurb:

Sharing never-before-heard stories ranging from their struggles with depression, eating disorders, and addiction, Karen and Georgia irreverently recount their biggest mistakes and deepest fears, reflecting on the formative life events that shaped them into two of the most followed voices in the nation.

In Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered, Karen and Georgia focus on the importance of self-advocating and valuing personal safety over being ‘nice’ or ‘helpful.’ They delve into their own pasts, true crime stories, and beyond to discuss meaningful cultural and societal issues with fierce empathy and unapologetic frankness.

“My Favorite Murder started as a way for Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark to work through their fears. Now it’s a worldwide community…. Even its darkest moments are lightened by Karen and Georgia’s effortlessly funny banter and genuine empathy.” —RollingStone.com

At the Publisher’s request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

I just finished this one yesterday, and I was completely blown away by how awesome it was! I gave it five stars, but it easily deserved a hundred times that.

Can’t wait to see more from this author, as there is a third book in the series being worked on.

For my detailed review of this book, click here.

Blurb:

Only nine months after her debut as the superhero Dreadnought, Danny Tozer is already a scarred veteran. Protecting a city the size of New Port is a team-sized job and she’s doing it alone. Between her newfound celebrity and her demanding cape duties, Dreadnought is stretched thin, and it’s only going to get worse.

When she crosses a newly discovered billionaire supervillain, Dreadnought comes under attack from all quarters. From her troubled family life to her disintegrating friendship with Calamity, there’s no lever too cruel for this villain to use against her.

She might be hard to kill, but there’s more than one way to destroy a hero. Before the war is over, Dreadnought will be forced to confront parts of herself she never wanted to acknowledge.

And behind it all, an old enemy waits in the wings, ready to unleash a plot that will scar the world forever.

Next on my TBR:

megamorphs

This one was a little tough for me to decide, as I have something lined up for after this. I also want to do another Bookish Blind Date from the library as soon as possible.

I just got this one in the mail the other day, so I’m continuing my Animorphs journey. This one is longer than the others have been so far, and I’m super excited!

Blurb:

We never should have done it. But we needed a break. You know, some time off from the superhero stuff. A chance to act like normal kids. Well — as normal as four kids who can morph, a hawk, and an alien can be. Everything should have been cool.
Now Rachel is missing. And there’s this…this thing that’s after us. But it’s not up to me to tell the whole story. Tobias, Cassie, Marco, and Ax were there, too. Even Rachel has some info to add. So go ahead and check this out. And remember not to tell anyone what we’re about to tell you. It could mean the difference between life and death. Or worse…

All right, so that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. What’s your WWW Wednesday like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Got any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!

Happy Reading Everyone!

  1. I read so many of the Animorphs books in my younger years. I’m glad people are still enjoying them! I don’t remember if I read that one in particular, though. Enjoy Stay Sexy! I’ve seen a lot of hype. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

    • Oh yeah, the Animorphs was a huge part of my childhood, so it’s nice to reread them and get that sense of wonder all over again. Such an amazing series.

I’m so excited for stay sexy!
