WWW Wednesday

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s Wednesday, which means its time for another round of WWW Wednesday!

This meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and is pretty simple.

Follow the 3 W questions below and answer them:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Let’s get the ball rolling!

Technically, I haven’t started reading this just yet. A new rule of mine is that after each book I finish, I take 24 hours to focus on my writing. Those 24 hours are almost up, so I may start reading tonight.

That being said, I’m very excited to read this! Each book of the Animorphs series has been short and gratifying, and this one is nearly double the length of the average book. Can’t wait!

We never should have done it. But we needed a break. You know, some time off from the superhero stuff. A chance to act like normal kids. Well — as normal as four kids who can morph, a hawk, and an alien can be. Everything should have been cool.
Now Rachel is missing. And there’s this…this thing that’s after us. But it’s not up to me to tell the whole story. Tobias, Cassie, Marco, and Ax were there, too. Even Rachel has some info to add. So go ahead and check this out. And remember not to tell anyone what we’re about to tell you. It could mean the difference between life and death. Or worse…

I really enjoyed this book. This was the memoir of the creators of the podcast My Favorite Murder, and it explained more about their lives before the podcast and what led them to this part of their lives.  I found it very intriguing, even though non-fiction isn’t really my thing. Four stars!

Sharing never-before-heard stories ranging from their struggles with depression, eating disorders, and addiction, Karen and Georgia irreverently recount their biggest mistakes and deepest fears, reflecting on the formative life events that shaped them into two of the most followed voices in the nation.

In Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered, Karen and Georgia focus on the importance of self-advocating and valuing personal safety over being ‘nice’ or ‘helpful.’ They delve into their own pasts, true crime stories, and beyond to discuss meaningful cultural and societal issues with fierce empathy and unapologetic frankness.

“My Favorite Murder started as a way for Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark to work through their fears. Now it’s a worldwide community…. Even its darkest moments are lightened by Karen and Georgia’s effortlessly funny banter and genuine empathy.” —RollingStone.com

This is the second book in Randall Krzak‘s Bedlam series, and though it’s been quite a while since I read the first book, I’m excited to delve back into his thrilling world!

Blurb:

United Nations’ sanctions are crippling North Korea. China has turned her back on her malevolent partner. The North Korean military machine is crumbling, unable to function. Oil reserves are minimal and the government seeks new alliances.

Cargo and tourist ships are disappearing along the Somali and Kenyan coastline at an alarming rate. Speeches abound, but inaction emboldens Al-Shabab to seek their next prize: Kenya. The terror organization controls land but requires weapons.

Bedlam Bravo team leader Colonel (Ret.) Trevor Franklin leads the small international team into East Africa. Tempers flare as the team is embroiled in a political quagmire. The axis must be stopped to avert an international crisis but at what cost?

All right, so that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. What’s your WWW Wednesday like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!

Happy Reading Everyone!

  1. Wow, sounds like interesting reads! I haven’t done a WWW for a while because I’m still working on “Dome”. I’m not a very fast (or avid) reader so I may do mine whenever I finish them.

    • Thanks! No worries, not all of us are fast readers, and I don’t think I really count as a fast reader. I mainly read shorter books like 400 pages or less.

Any more than 500 pages and it starts to intimidate me.

Yeah, that sounds like a good plan!

    • Haha, never too late for a good ole throwback! I mainly started re-reading the series because I was really into it in the 90’s and saw a bunch of people on GoodReads re-reading their favorite series from childhood.

Unfortunately, there’s over 54 books in the series lol!
