Paperbacks vs. Ebooks, What’s Your Poison?

Good Morning Bookworms,

I hope you’re getting a good start to your week, and you are taking good care of yourselves as well. Self care, don’t forget people!

I’m stopping by with another bookish question. It’s definitely one that’s been asked many a time, but I’m curious how you feel.

Which do you prefer, paperbacks or ebooks? How strong is your aversion to the one you don’t favor?

Personally, I’ve always preferred a physical book. My dayjob involves sitting in front of a computer all day, so the last thing I want to see is another screen when I get home.

Also, I’m a Taurus, and Tauruses are known for being very material. If I love a book, I MUST own it to put on my bookshelf, end of story.

Don’t get me wrong, I have read plenty an ebook, but it takes more effort for me than reading a physical book.

Actually, while writing this post, I had a small epiphany.

I don’t like reading eBooks on my phone because that’s where all my social media and other notifications are, constantly dinging at me for my attention and seriously testing my redhead righteous fury.

Perhaps if I were to get a separate reader like a kindle or kobo or something I might be a little more receptive. I still don’t feel like I’d fall off the deep end, but it may change my opinion a bit. Guess I know what to ask for on my birthday!

So how do you feel? Is the smell of a used or freshly printed book irresistible, or do you prefer to have a world of books at the disposal of your nimble fingers?

Feel free to tell me all about your opinion in the comments, and have a great day!
