Until then, let’s take a look at some good reads, shall we?

Currently Reading:

On the run from trumped-up murder charges, Alex Dawson and his boyfriend Sev settle in a small town in Vermont on the recommendation of Sev’s mob-boss cousin Bella. That is, until Walter Trask is found in his own maple grove with his head smashed in.

Alex doesn’t want to have anything to do with the death, but things get much more personal when Bella is falsely arrested. Determined to free her and even the scales, Alex scours the town for clues as to what really happened. He quickly learns that small towns have big secrets that people may be willing to kill for. And if that weren’t bad enough, Alex and Sev’s once-sweet relationship is turning bitter under the combined pressures of isolation, anxiety, and jealousy. Alex needs to find the true murderer quickly before Bella is turned over to the feds, or worse, Sev walks out of his life forever.

Opinion so far:

This is the second book in Thea McAlistair‘s Caro Mysteries, and so far I’m really having a great time despite only being a little over 10% in. Definitely a strange setup in the beginning and loving it!

Recently Finished:

Blurb:

“The Threat” is a new Animorph named David. At first he’s a valuable warrior. But as crucial battle plans unfold, the Animorphs realize they’ve made a terrible mistake.

My Opinion:

This was a strong second book in the David trilogy. Plenty of YA Scifi chills and thrills here! Definitely worth a read.

Hmm, what madness is this? All Animorphs books?

Yep, that’s right! After I finish my current read, I’ll be taking the plunge into my Animorphs reading week! I’ve only shown these four covers, but I’m really not sure how many books I’ll be able to tackle in just seven days.

Knowing myself, I can typically blaze through one in a couple hours if I’m not busy, but this weekend is supposed to be extremely busy, so I may extend the Animorphs greatness if I feel the need to.

During this week I will also be finalizing my TBR choices for the rest of the year, though I’ve already made a lot of good progress on finding reads I simply must read.
