Mail, mail, what’s in the mail?

Hi Everybody!

The work week is almost over, hooray! For those of you working remotely, please stay strong and take care of yourself. This is definitely an adjustment period. Those of you out in the real world, again, thank you for your service to the people. We need your help more than ever. Be safe!

All right, so I haven’t been ordering much online lately for obvious reasons, but I did manage to make a rather large purchase that came in the mail early!

Guess what it is? 3…2…1… TADA!

It’s a Kindle Paperwhite!

This was something of an impulse purchase, but I’m super excited about it. With my local library shut down, I’m going to have to resort to buying ebooks for the foreseeable future, either that or buying physical books before I read them (WAY too risky unless it’s part of a series I already love).

Before this, I’ve been reading on my phone, and while the screen is a decent size for a phone these days, I would still squint. I tried it out reading a chapter of my current read The Survivor Chronicles and didn’t squint at all!

So here’s to my new beginning with ebooks. May we be very happy together!

That’s a Wrap!

All righty book worms, that’s what’s in the mail for me today. How about you? Get any packages or have some coming that you’re excited about?

Tell me all about it in the comments!

Thank you for stopping by, and have a great day!

  1. I got a Kindle for Christmas, and I’m really enjoying it. Recently I found out you can take notes while you read and then afterwords email all the notes to yourself (makes writing reviews easier).

    • I’ve only tried it for a chapter or two, but the reading is coming much easier, and I’m super grateful. Also I hate reading on my phone.

Yeah, I saw hilights etc that you can do, and that looks really neat of a feature to have! Not sure if I’ll use it or not, but definitely a perk.

  2. Don’t have any packages coming, but I know you’ll love your Kindle, Jonny. I was skeptical about ereaders when they first came out, but hubby surprised me and bought me a Nook for Christmas that year. Can’t imagine life without my Nook or Kindle now.

  3. Oooh, a new kindle, enjoy! I actually just use kindle app on my phone because I don’t like having to carry extra devices (luckily, this works for me!). I do have an old kindle fire that my husband bought me but it’s since become his since I never use it LOL. 🙂

    • Thank you! I’ve never had one before, so it is an adjustment, but a very good one.

I have a decent-sized phone but still end up squinting when I read on it, so my eyes are super grateful lol.

      • I’m lucky in that I’m at the age where I no longer need glasses to read (used to need them for everything) so I can just take them off for that, I’m sure as my eyesight continues to adjust with age I’ll need readers eventually though and will probably need to switch to a bigger device lol.

      • Aw, lucky! My eyesight isn’t really al that bad, but I do need contacts. I plan on getting lasik within the next year or two so I can enjoy the rest of my youth without needing glasses. Fingers crossed!

I hope your eyesight simply stays the same. Aging is for the birds!
