WWW Wednesday

Hi Everyone!

Hope your week is going well. I’ve been having a tough time this week, so  I’ve been clinging to writing and reading as a liferaft. Can you blame me?

Anyways, back to the post.

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

mournerscradle

Blurb:

The tale of a widow’s harrowing journey through grief and peril into the cold remnants of a dead world.

Damon Sharpe had in part found victory, he believed, in his battle to unearth a truth obscured by time. By autumn, he was dead, leaving to his wife Anne a house of unfulfilled wishes, remnants, and the key to the enigma of his obsession, the Mourner’s Cradle.

A journey through grief and peril delivers Anne Sharpe from her home in St. Charles to the faraway skeletons of a long-dead civilization where she will find the desperate answers she seeks…or die trying.

Opinion so far:

I’m just over a third of the way through on this one, but I’m truly loving this experience. Each scene is vivid and capturing my full attention. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Recently Finished:

animorphs29

Blurb:

The Animorphs’ alien friend Ax is in trouble. He’s come down with a virus called “yamphut”, and it’s making him very sick. The Animorphs discover the virus could be deadly–but they can’t take an “alien” to the hospital. They need to come up with a plan–or lose their friend forever.

My Opinion:

This was a great continuation of the series, but especially wonderful for Cassie, who finally got her own chance to be a hero for her Animorph brethren. Definitely worth a read!

Animorphs #29 Review

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

Next up will be a short story. Recently I found a plethora of free scary stories to choose from, so I’m excited to look them over.

After that it’s the next Animorphs book, an extended read this time (It’s one of the Megamorphs). The cover looks very familiar but I don’t think I’ve read it when I was a kid.

Next, the last in Montre Bible’s series to date. So excited!

Last but not least is the last currently published book in the Murderbot series. I’ve borderline been putting this off, so I am determined to continue the adventure. That being said, it won’t be long before the next one comes out (May), so that’ll be high on my purchase list!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.

What does your reading pile look like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!

Happy Reading Everyone!

  1. I’m on the second of the Martha Wells Murderbot series. I remembered there was one of the first three books you didn’t care for, but I’d like to read all four books before the 5th one comes out.

Sorry to hear you’re having a tough week. I hope the rest of your week goes better!

    • Thanks for joining in on the bookish convo!

The second one is the one that I cared for least, but I still did enjoy it. It just had a different tone from the first book in my opinion.

Definitely read up on these. I’m so glad you’re enjoying them. Are you still reading them with the hubby?

It’s okay. It’s kind of unavoidable right now, I just have to find a way to deflect the ever increasing negativity I’m feeling. It’s toxic.
