WWW Wednesday

Good Morning world!

How is this week treating you? Well I hope.

My week has been a little bit crazy, and I’m already ready for the weekend. Luckily for me, I have Friday and Monday off, so I’m looking forward to some rest and relaxation.

Good luck with the rest of your week! Let’s get back to the post at hand.

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

The only thing August Pfeiffer hates more than algebra is living in a vampire town. Located at a nexus of mystical energy fields, Fulton Heights is practically an electromagnet for supernatural drama. And when a mysterious (and annoyingly hot) vampire boy arrives with a cryptic warning, Auggie suddenly finds himself at the center of it. An ancient and terrible power is returning to the earthly realm, and somehow Auggie seems to be the only one who can stop it.

Opinion so far:

I am about three quarters of the way through this book, and while the writing is great, I am having some conflicting feelings about it.

In spots there are some info-dumpy conversations, and the constant backstabbing and slew of details about things are kind of bogging this down.

I am enjoying this, but I wish that the author would’ve kept this book nice and simple throughout like the beginning was. Here’s hoping that last quarter doesn’t disappoint!

Ax’s people have arrived on Earth, and they want Ax back on board with them. Ax is torn. Should he join his fellow Andalites? Can he desert the Animorphs?

Opinion so far:

This was a fun-filled Animorphs adventure. I really enjoyed that we got to see more Andalites this time around, and the mystery behind it was very entertaining. Definitely recommend this one!

Animorphs #38, The Arrival Review

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

Alright, so I gave my TBR some thought over the weekend and have cleared some of the clutter in my GoodReads shelves. I’m simply focusing on what I want to read most strongly.

So next up is more Animorphs! Unfortunately this one’s theme is Helmacrons again, but as much as I want to skip it I simply can’t. Will I hate it, love it? No clue. I’m just going to dive in and hope for the best.

After that is Iseult Murphy’s 7 Days in Hell. This one got smothered by other Kindle purchases, and it’s high time I give this the read it deserves! Plus it sounds delightfully scary, and this is the perfect time of year for it.

Following that is another buddy read with Iseult, and this time the book to read is still a surprise to me. Don’t you just love surprises? I know I do!

I do know that my next read of short stories is A.F. Stewart’s Eternal Myths, so I’m putting that up on here now, hoping to get to it very soon.

Wish me luck on my reading journey, and good luck to you too!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.
