Good Morning Everyone,

I’m doing another writer’s retreat!

To be honest, I originally wasn’t planning to do another one so soon given my last one in March, but my employer wanted everyone to get in any vacation time as soon as possible for the remainder of the year, so I figured why the heck not? 

Another one, really?

You betcha! 

I’m still working on my Reaper sequel, and I’m currently on 20 of 29 chapters. Taking this retreat will allow me to burst forward with my edits and get that much closer to finishing my second draft. From there I can do some alpha and beta reads before publishing. 

This is a short retreat, just three days long (9/21 to 9/23), so I am expecting to get through at least two chapters, possibly more. As an added bonus, I get a full weekend before I start my vacation, so I should be able to get plenty done.

Where Am I Going?

Like all of my retreats, I wanted it to be cheap and nearby. I only had a few hundred bucks to put towards it, so this time it had to be even closer. 

In the end, I rented an Airbnb in Easton, KS! 

What really sold me was the treehouse feel. I wanted to be out in nature away from people. This seems like the perfect getaway, and it’s just an hour away from where I live. 

And that’s pretty much it for me. I’m excited about my little getaway and hope you are too! Wish me luck!
