This week is moving by fast, isn’t it? I’ve had a rather annoyingly busy week so far with health stuff (mainly doctor visits), so I’m looking forward to November, which signifies the end of all that. But until then, it’s Halloween time!

Opinion so far:
I’m reading this in between spooky reads as a palette cleanser of sorts. I’m about halfway through this, and I’m feeling a bit conflicted. On one hands things are getting interesting, but on the other, the first 50 pages or so were a bit confusing. There’s so much detail packed in that it was overwhelming. I guess we’ll see how the rest of it pans out!

Certain there is more to the death than meets the eye (or ear), Anderson pushes the Sergeant to delve further into it. This was a fun, creepy read. A questionable death, a very likeable main character, and something dark and unknown underneath it all made this very enjoyable.

Up next on my TBR is The Darkest Touch by Joseph Sale. The dark theme of this book seemed perfect for Halloween, and I can’t wait to dig in! This will be my first time reading something by this author and was recommended by a good friend of mine, Iseult Murphy.
After that I’ll be reading The Girl Who Wasn’t There by Nick Clausen. This one kind of reminds me of my book Reaper, so I simply had to check this out. Girl gone missing, some supernatural craziness possibly behind it. Sounds like a great time! This was an impulse purchase months ago after Iseult Murphy mentioned it to me.
Last but certainly not least is Craven Manor by Darcy Coates. I’ve been wanting to read this and other books by this author for well over a year and I’m finally getting around to it thanks to my local library having a copy (this book is a bit pricy for me to just go out and buy without reading it first). Here’s hoping it’s a knockout! I love me some haunted houses!
