WWW Wednesday

Happy Hump Day Everyone,

Hope you’re having a good week so far. Not much to note from me, so let’s get into some book recs!

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

Blurb:

In a sprawling mansion filled with peculiar treasures, January Scaller is a curiosity herself. As the ward of the wealthy Mr. Locke, she feels little different from the artifacts that decorate the halls: carefully maintained, largely ignored, and utterly out of place.

Then she finds a strange book. A book that carries the scent of other worlds, and tells a tale of secret doors, of love, adventure and danger. Each page turn reveals impossible truths about the world and January discovers a story increasingly entwined with her own.

Opinion so far:

Iseult Murphy and I are buddy reading this one and are just starting it today, so I’m only about 5% through so far. I am not super wowed just yet, but I like the concept of these Doors (yes, it must be capitalized or so the MC tells me) and simply must know where they lead!

Blurb:

He is called the Ellimist. A being with the ability to alter space and time. A being with a power that will never be fully understood. He is the reason Elfangor came to Earth. He is the reason the Earth now has a fighting chance. And though his actions never seem quite right or wrong, you can be certain they are never, ever what anyone expects.

This is the beginning and the middle of the story. A story that needs to be told in order to understand what might happen to the future. The future of the Animorphs. The future of humanity. The future of Earth.

He is called the Ellimist. And this is his story…

Opinion so far:

I really enjoyed this read. Though the first twenty or so pages felt off to me, once I got through that the plot really picked up, ending in a crazy space adventure for the Ellimist. It was great to finally get to know this mysterious alien sympathizer of the Animorphs and what he’s been through. Very memorable and worth a read.

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

What’s up next on my TBR?

First and foremost, Animorphs! I’m not going to spend much time talking about it, but I’m near the end and will be finishing the series this month if it kills me. It’s time to free up my reading schedule.

After one more Animorph read I’ll be picking up Renegades by Marissa Meyer and reading it along with my friend Gigi aka the Beachy Reader. I always love her blunt reactions to how she’s feeling about a book, and I hope this one doesn’t disappoint either of us!

After that and one more Animorph read, I’ll be starting the Domna series by Tammie Painter. Tammie is extremely skilled in her writing based on my experiences with her short stories, and I’m just dying to give this a go!

Following that I’ll probably be knocking out the remaining Animorphs books in a readathon, then regrouping to figure out what’s next.

Wish me luck on my reading journey, and best of luck on yours too!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.

What does your reading pile look like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!
