Short Story Review: Moonlight Cruise

It’s short story review time!
I wasn’t necessarily expecting to read anything in between back to back buddy book reads (what a tongue twister!) with my pals Gigi and Misty, but hey, sometimes you get just enough time for a short story, so I took full advantage.
This time I read Moonlight Cruise by Tammie Painter.
If you’re a regular on my site, then you’ve heard the spiel time and time again. Tammie Painter is one of my favorite authors, especially with all the diverse short stories I’ve read of hers. Seriously, my reviews of her works could have their own section of my website, that’s how much I like her stuff!
Anywho, this sounded right up my alley with the supernatural vibe to it, so I plunged right in! What did I think? Keep scrolling folks!

The Review
What a marvelous short story!
I gave this one four and a half stars and had a great time. This was a short short story and only took about twenty minutes to get through.
In a nutshell, there’s a conference of different species of shifters on a cruise. Shenanigans ensue.
From the get go I loved this story because I’m obsessed with anything supernatural or paranormal.
The main character had a simple POV but it was really entertaining. There is some bad blood between different types of shifters. Dog shifters get all the recognition, while cat and other animal shifters are pretty much neglected and kept out of the limelight. This scenario had an inherent sense of tension that carried throughout the entire story and kept my attention.
I honestly don’t have any quips about this, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun supernatural bite between books. Happy reading!
