Hello Blogiverse!
Unlike the majority of my posts, this has nothing to do with anything bookish (unless you count textbooks, ick!). Instead, I’m simply letting everyone know that another semester of grad school approaches for me. My life is about to get very busy!
If you aren’t familiar with my journey, I’m going to school to get my MLIS degree in public librarianship. I’ve completed two semesters so far and will be starting this next semester on the 19th. My current graduation eta is Spring of 2024.
This is my first semester where I get to fully choose my electives now that the core required classes are complete, and I chose a Marketing class and a Readers’ Advisory class. I took a reference course last semester that did deal with some Readers’ Advisory, but I really want to hone in on the topic since its something I truly love (I’m basically doing that here with my blog). So yes, very excited about hand selecting these and other relative parts of librarianship that interest me.
As with each semester, there will be some changes in the frequency in which I post. Priority will be going to my studies and finishing the first draft of my current WIP, so book reviews, buddy reads, and Meet the Author posts will have to slow down considerably. I have been keeping an eye on shorter books I could still attempt to read with my coursework, so preference will go to those until my break around Christmastime.
Phew! Now that I’ve talked your ear off, how about you? Are you working on any projects or are you currently enrolled in a degree program of any kind? Tell me all about it! I’d love to start a dialogue. 🙂
Wish me luck, and best of luck to you as well!
