Hello, hello readers!
Today I wanted to share a big milestone. My writer’s retreat to Table Rock was a huge success, and I finished my first draft of The Ruins (Horror/Fantasy/LGBT)! This labor of love currently sits just under 60,000 words, or around 240 pages.
Though it was a close call timewise, I’m over the moon that I was able to charge forward and get it done. I also did some daily videos on my YouTube channel if you’d like to follow my journey from day to day below.
So where does this leave me? Well, over the next couple of months I’ll be fine tuning my first draft solo, then I’ll open things up to my trusted alpha and beta readers when I feel I’ve done as best I can on my own (those already part of prior alpha and beta reads will be contacted soon regarding my timeline). If you’d love to be included in that or my ARC review team, please let me know in the comments.
The goal here is to hopefully have this baby polished and possibly even published before Crypticon (read about booking my first convention here) next year, which takes place in late June.
As always, thank you for your continued support, and I hope to give you all the chills and thrills with this new novel!
