Book Break: Writing Progress

Hey Everyone,

Know how I said I was going to start taking one-day breaks in between books? Well, I actually did it! Aren’t you proud of me? :p

Okay, so these posts won’t be terribly long, but I want to stop in and share little tidbits on my writing progress and how things are going in general.

Alright, so I kind of dropped the ball as far as tracking how many words I’ve written in the past day, but luckily I kept tabs on the past 48 hours.

So I’ve written just around 2,300 words in the past two days. That’s roughly nine pages, and 1,150 words a day. Hooray! I’ve been setting my goals relatively low for writing lately, just 300-400 words a day, but I’m glad the inspiration is carrying things along.

That being said, I’ve reached the end point of where I had things plotted out, and I still have one more chapter before the second act begins, so I need to plan out that last chapter of the first act in the next week or so before I start the plotting process for the second act.

May I just say how terrified I am of plotting out the second act? The middle of a book is always the hardest part for me. I usually know the beginning and end pretty much immediately, but connecting them can be so difficult, am I right?

Anyways, I have a lot of tidbits of knowledge gathered, I just need to connect the dots and see what works and what doesn’t. I’m hoping the second act takes about as long as the first act did to write, about two months, but I have my doubts.

Alright, so that’s it for my writing progress. How about you other writers out there? Any special projects you are working on? Tell me all about it!

Happy writing everyone!
