WWW Wednesday

Hallelujah, it’s Wednesday!

halleloo

Since Monday, I’ve been counting the days til Friday, the start of Labor Day weekend. Have you?

I don’t really have huge plans other than having some friends over for some games (there’s an actual reason behind this, but more on that in another post), but I’m looking forward to some extra time away from the office since I haven’t had a real vacation since Denver in March.

How about you? Got any great plans?

Ranting about Labor Day aside, let’s get into this week’s WWW Challenge.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Planet Tage is dying, and the best hope of saving it is gone.

Seventeen-year-old identical twins Evan and Simon share an extraordinary bond, a trait that’s both useful and invasive. They use their connection in their work at Scientific Innovations. Evan is a Mindbender, someone who enters the minds of scientists to spark ideas, join thoughts, and battle nightmares. Simon is a science prodigy and Tage’s best chance of survival.

Unfortunately, their unusual link often bleeds into their private lives. When Evan discovers his brother is keeping a secret from him, he lashes out and ignores requests to talk, and even pleas for help. By the time Evan tunes back in, he finds their connection severed and Simon missing.

He suffers a terrible case of survivor’s guilt. Moreover, he’s desperate. The fate of the world rests on Simon’s return, and Evan is willing to do anything to get him back—even working with his greatest rival, who also happens to be Simon’s boyfriend.

Evan finds allies among enemies and adversaries among friends. When nothing is as it seems and everything is depending on him, he must explore a dangerous aspect to his twin connection he never knew he had.

If he fails, he’ll lose both his brother and his world.

Opinion so far:

Philip is a good boy, a really good boy, who accidentally gets sent to Hell to become the Devil’s heir. The Devil, Lucifer, is dying and desperately in need of a successor, but there’s been a mistake and Philip is the wrong boy. Philip is terrible at being bad, but Lucifer has no other choice than to begin the difficult task of training him in the ways of evil. Philip gets both friends and enemies in this odd, gloomy underworld—but who can he trust, when he discovers an evil-minded plot against the dark throne?

The Devil’s Apprentice is volume 1 in The Great Devil War-series.

My Opinion:

I love love LOVED this book and can’t wait to get started on the next two in the series.

I was lucky enough to be a part of this blog tour, and enjoyed every minute of it!

My Thoughts Up Front:

Aurora Rising and Sorcery of Thorns have been on my list for a bit, I know, and I’m finally getting to them I promise!

I’m super excited and hoping to complete both of these by 9/14/19 so I can focus on my Halloween reads!

That being said, I’m not going to share my Halloween reads with you just yet. Don’t worry, it’s worth waiting for!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.
