Christmas Music, yay or nay?
Hello Christmas vocalists,
We’re just over a week away from Christmas, how crazy is that? I hope you’ve got your shopping done! I’m falling a bit behind, but most of mine will be gift cards as well as other presents that will be gifted locally, so I still have a bit of time.
Anywho, I saw a post on here about Christmas songs and it got me thinking. Do you like Christmas music?
This time of year everyone has an opinion, and I’d like to hear yours! Some people seem to hate Christmas music, while others hum it day in and day out once Thanksgiving is over.
For me, I actually don’t mind Christmas music, but like all things, I’m a bit picky. I won’t go out of my way to listen to Christmas music and prefer to wait until the week of to start listening and getting into the spirit.
Don’t get me wrong, if there’s holiday jams on, I’ll definitely sing along if I’m in the mood. My weakness is The Carpenters Christmas Album.
I mean, that angelic voice has always inspired me, especially this time of year.
That being said, I believe that there’s a limit to how many times I can listen to the same songs without wanting to gouge my eyes out, but hey, I’m just one person of many.
So tell me, do you like Christmas music? If so, how soon do you listen to it? Once Thanksgiving is over? A couple weeks before Christmas?
Seasons greetings everyone!
That’s a Wrap!
All right, that wraps up this holiday blog post. Don’t forget to comment on your Christmas music listening habits, I’d love to hear all about it!

As you know from my post I LOVE christmas music 😂. But when I used to work in sales I hated it probably because it was on non stop every day from the first of December. I’m like you, I don’t like it being shoved in my face but I do have a christmas playlist to get me in the spirit!
Yep! I actually like christmas jazz ambient music lately. Its cozy and not cheesy. Sometimes there’s a big cheese factor with xmas music, and it comes off as fake to me.
Definitely agree with you there. A favourite Of mine is Sleigh Bells by Ella Fitzgerald… but i am partial to a bit of cheese on occasion 😆
Yeah, it definitely depends on what it is and how much cheese is involved. Indie christmas jams can be really creative.
I love Christmas music! It surprises people because I read and write horror, so how can I like sweet Christmas music so much? Eh, I’m complex.
I start listening as soon as the 24 hour holiday station comes on the air (usually first week of November). The Carptenters’ Christmas album is really good because Karen sings (sang) in exactly the range in which I can sing, never too high nor too low.
Yeah, it can definitely lift your spirits, and that is a quality I really respect about it. It’s all about positivity and family.
Oh wow, hardcore christmas fan! You do you, friend!
I love Christmas music. I usually start listening to it around Thanksgiving sometimes a little earlier it just depends on if I’m in the festive spirit or not.
Nice, do you have a favorite song?
Mine’s either the Carpenter’s or some ambient Christmas jazz (I blame my friend Stacy lol)
No not really I listen to a variety but I like the classics mostly.
Yeah, the classics are mainly the best ones. I’m not a huge fan of remakes unless they reinvent the wheel on the song.
I like some of the remakes. It really just depends on who the singer is really.
Yeah, that’s fair. 🙂 I did listen to the Paul McCartney and George Michael ones today.
