Weekly Progress Update!

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you had a great holiday week!

Personally, I took most of the week off. I’ve been burning out at work pretty badly and needed the extra time to just exist for a while and do a bit of soul-searching. This week has been really great for me. I got time to read, write, and let my hair down.

I’m not very excited to go back to work, but I have had enough time to myself. Time to get back into the real world!

Anywho, let’s get into things, shall we?

Books

This week was huge for reading. HUGE!

I finished Pet Sematary by Stephen King, The Siren’s Curse by Angharad Thompson Rees, Silent Night by R.L. Stine, Animorphs #16, The Warning by KA Applegate, and started All Systems Red by Martha Wells.

Obviously that whole burn-out on reality I mentioned makes sense now, huh?

I regret nothing, haha!

These were all great bookish journeys in their own way. See below for my review links. There’s plenty in store for 2020!

TV/Movies

This week was pretty eventful on the watching side of things as well. I completed the first season of X-Men: The Animated series on Disney + and watched the newest Pet Sematary movie.

I absolutely LOVED X-Men. It was such a blast from the past and I couldn’t be happier! Check out my review here.

Pet Sematary was pretty disappointing if you ask me, though it did retain some entertainment value. If you haven’t watched it yet, definitely check out my review here. Hopefully it will save you some time.

My Writing

Writing is going well this week! I wrote every day with the exception of Christmas, including this morning. I simply forced myself to sit down and write for a small amount of time.

I beat my weekly goal of 2,000 words by 50% with 3,026 words, or about 12 pages worth of writing.

I finished my Chapter 21 and am about halfway through Chapter 22 at the moment.

After this chapter I’ll be caught up with what I have plotted out, so it’ll be back to the drawing board. There are only 3-4 chapters left in Act II, so I’ll be plotting the rest of that out, then it’s a short Act III (Maybe 3-4 chapters tops) and I’m done with my rough draft!

That’s a Wrap!

All right, so that was my week. How did yours go? Did you do well on your writing and reading projects? Anything interesting you’d like to share?

Do you have any great recommendations in TV, movies, or books? Feel free to share in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, and Happy Sunday!
