WWW Wednesday

Happy … Hump Day?

Is it seriously already Wednesday? That’s weird. This week seems to be just blazing by for me, so time just doesn’t make sense right now. But yeah, happy Wednesday!

So like usual, today I’m posting my reads.

Every Wednesday I participate in this great little meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Hungergames.1

Blurb:

It is the morning of the reaping that will kick off the tenth annual Hunger Games. In the Capital, eighteen-year-old Coriolanus Snow is preparing for his one shot at glory as a mentor in the Games. The once-mighty house of Snow has fallen on hard times, its fate hanging on the slender chance that Coriolanus will be able to outcharm, outwit, and outmaneuver his fellow students to mentor the winning tribute.

The odds are against him. He’s been given the humiliating assignment of mentoring the female tribute from District 12, the lowest of the low. Their fates are now completely intertwined — every choice Coriolanus makes could lead to favor or failure, triumph or ruin. Inside the arena, it will be a fight to the death. Outside the arena, Coriolanus starts to feel for his doomed tribute… and must weigh his need to follow the rules against his desire to survive no matter what it takes.

Opinion so far:

Yay for new release reads! I’ve been excited about this book for months!

Truth be told, I’ve been blazing through reads this week and just finished something last night, so I have not started this just yet, but it’s next up.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about this book, so I can’t wait to dig in. Who doesn’t love some Hunger Games? *grabs knife, fork, and bib* Hahaha

animorphs32

Blurb:

Rachel is falling apart. Literally. Her newest morph the ability to regenerate its limbs, but when Rachel demorphs there’s a lot more Rachel than when she started out. One more Rachel, to be exact. Rachel is an okay person to have around. But two could be considered overkill. Especially two Rachels with completely opposite personalities: one is pathetically weak; one is super strong and super nasty. Now the Animorphs have to figure out a way to put Rachel back together again. Because if it’s up to the “twins, ” Rachel the weak will surrender to Visser Three. Rachel the super bold will try to single-handedly take him down. And twice the trouble may be twice as much as the other Animorphs and Ax can handle….

My Opinion:

This one joins the meh bus unfortunately. While the premise seemed interesting, the characterization and plot didn’t quite work for me. Don’t get me wrong, this is still entertaining. I mean, two Rachels? Holy cannoli!

Animorphs #32, The Separation Review

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

First and foremost, I want to test out another Tammie Painter short story. I loved the Space Walk story, so I’m curious how I’ll feel about this one.

After that, it’s keeping up with my Animorphs reads. This one I actually recall from my childhood, so I’m curious to see how it holds up.

Last but certainly not least is Spirit Hunters #2. As much as I want to blitz into Murderbot #5, I need to pace myself with my reads for balance, so I think reading this before that will work well in my favor. Also, this seems to be the last book in this series and I’m all about finishing what I start these days.

Wish me luck!

That’s a Wrap!

    • Thanks! I’m seriously hoping it’s not overhyped, but based on the first three books this should be a good one.

Oh yeah, I’m really excited about Spirit Hunters!
