Happy Wednesday World!
How is the week treating you?
My schedule has gone a little nuts with my slightly different hours at my new job, but I’m still managing to find time to read and write, so I can’t complain too much.
Anywho, let’s get right into the post!
Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.
This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.
The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.
Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Murderbot returns in its highly-anticipated, first, full-length standalone novel.
You know that feeling when you’re at work, and you’ve had enough of people, and then the boss walks in with yet another job that needs to be done right this second or the world will end, but all you want to do is go home and binge your favorite shows? And you’re a sentient murder machine programmed for destruction? Congratulations, you’re Murderbot.
Come for the pew-pew space battles, stay for the most relatable A.I. you’ll read this century.
I’m usually alone in my head, and that’s where 90 plus percent of my problems are.
When Murderbot’s human associates (not friends, never friends) are captured and another not-friend from its past requires urgent assistance, Murderbot must choose between inertia and drastic action.
Drastic action it is, then.
Opinion so far:
I’m not quite a quarter of the way through this, but I’m enjoying all the great scifi action and intrigue that’s going on right now.
Stay tuned for my review!
Madeline is a short horror story of approximately 3000 words.
A shed full of macabre secrets… A wife gone crazy… A nine-year-old girl that must die.
Jonah fights for his life while trying to stop his deranged wife from killing their daughter in the name of the Lord.
Sometimes, the Devil truly is in the details.
Opinion so far:
Though this short story was entertaining, I found that the characters and plot suffered a bit. That being said, this is a freebie on Amazon, so it may be worth the chance to find out for yourself!
Madeline Short Story Review
Next on my TBR:
Opinion so far:
Next up on my TBR is more Animorphs, yay! This underwater adventure looks great, can’t wait!
After that, I’ll be reading another of the many short stories I downloaded for free on Amazon. I really went a little crazy, but can you blame me? Free is so me!
Last but certainly not least is Magic or Die. I’m deciding to stick with my reading choice, and I can’t wait to see how this book by JP Jackson ends up being. In the meantime, feel free to check out my interview with him here.
That’s a Wrap!
Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.
What does your reading pile look like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!

With a name like Murderbot, it’s got to be good! :))
It actually is! I know the image running in your head is probably a robot running around stabbing people, but it’s so much more than that and a universe rich with detail.
Nah, I picture it as a stealthy robot assassin 😎
Ooo, nice! Way better than my first mental image when I heard of the book lol.
I’m glad you’re liking the new Martha Wells book so far. I’m looking forward to your review.
Thanks, it’s pretty crazy already hah!
It seems like I have talked to you in forever. How is your new job going? Are you liking it more that the previous one?
Yeah, it’s crazy. Thanks for reaching out! Job is going fine, just learning the new software and process and all that.
Oh, and my internet is currently out. Yikes!
Yeah when you’re first starting out it’s a little stressful and crazy but you can do it!!
That sucks. I hate when my internet goes out.
Yeah, thanks for the vote of confidence!
Lol I’m legit sitting here waiting for it to come back *sigh*
Doing better than me. I get whiny when mine goes out because I can’t do anything else. Yeah I can read but I feel like I’m being forced to read and I don’t like that lol
Oh believe me, if I hadn’t fallen asleep I’d be whining away. It’s still not back. *sigh*
Oh no I’m sorry. Hopefully it will be back soon. If it’s not back by tomorrow I would definitely be making some phone calls.
Yeah, I dont care if it’s down tonight since I have my books, but I’m gonna have some serious issues if it’s not up by morning. People cant work remotely if theres no internet. I already called them when it first happened and they confirmed the outage
Yeah I wouldn’t touch a book until it came back on. I know that makes no sense whatsoever but it’s how my brain works lol. Hopefully it comes back soon.
