WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday World!

How is the week treating you?

My schedule has gone a little nuts with my slightly different hours at my new job, but I’m still managing to find time to read and write, so I can’t complain too much.

Anywho, let’s get right into the post!

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Murderbot returns in its highly-anticipated, first, full-length standalone novel.

You know that feeling when you’re at work, and you’ve had enough of people, and then the boss walks in with yet another job that needs to be done right this second or the world will end, but all you want to do is go home and binge your favorite shows? And you’re a sentient murder machine programmed for destruction? Congratulations, you’re Murderbot.

Come for the pew-pew space battles, stay for the most relatable A.I. you’ll read this century.

I’m usually alone in my head, and that’s where 90 plus percent of my problems are.

When Murderbot’s human associates (not friends, never friends) are captured and another not-friend from its past requires urgent assistance, Murderbot must choose between inertia and drastic action.

Drastic action it is, then.

Opinion so far:

I’m not quite a quarter of the way through this, but I’m enjoying all the great scifi action and intrigue that’s going on right now.

Stay tuned for my review!

Madeline is a short horror story of approximately 3000 words.

A shed full of macabre secrets… A wife gone crazy… A nine-year-old girl that must die.

Jonah fights for his life while trying to stop his deranged wife from killing their daughter in the name of the Lord.

Sometimes, the Devil truly is in the details.

Opinion so far:

Though this short story was entertaining, I found that the characters and plot suffered a bit. That being said, this is a freebie on Amazon, so it may be worth the chance to find out for yourself!

Opinion so far:

Next up on my TBR is more Animorphs, yay! This underwater adventure looks great, can’t wait!

After that, I’ll be reading another of the many short stories I downloaded for free on Amazon. I really went a little crazy, but can you blame me? Free is so me!

Last but certainly not least is Magic or Die. I’m deciding to stick with my reading choice, and I can’t wait to see how this book by JP Jackson ends up being. In the meantime, feel free to check out my interview with him here.

That’s a Wrap!
