Series Review: Castlevania, Season Two (Netflix)
Series Blurb:
Dracula’s war against humanity rages on! After gathering his generals from around the world, a growing unrest in the world of vampires has become clear and it may be Dracula’s human allies, Hector and Isaac, that tip the balance of power amongst the undead. But Trevor, Sypha and Alucard are taking dangerous steps to counter the coming war.
My Review:
Characters
A continuously developing colorful cast of characters that have depth, courage, and cajones.
Plot
Though we started off a bit slow this season, the wait was well worth it and packed with intrigue, mystery, and chaos.
Flow
The plot thickens with plenty of interesting revelations and history relating to the world around them. No boring side stories here!
Overall Impression
After watching the first season of Castlevania I had to have more, so I quickly dove into season two. I was not disappointed.
Season two continued the epic gruesome story of Dracula versus the world, and so many elements here were still really great.
Our cast of characters expands as we get to see more on the Dracula side of things. He’s looking for war, and he’s got an entire army of vampiric nobles to carry out his orders. Of course we also have our main protagonists, who have some good character progression along the journey.
The plot didn’t disappoint. I’ll admit the season started a tad slow, but the slow build and elements of mystery were well worth the wait before we plunged into catastrophe. Like last time there were plenty of great battles to sink our fangs into, and there were plenty of plot twists I didn’t see coming that kept me hooked until the shocking end.
In the end, season two of Castlevania was a bloody, mysterious delight, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next season!
Final Score
8/10

Eight out of ten is pretty darn good! I’m watching season 2 of Umbrella Academy. Eh, I liked season one better.
Yeah, this show has not disappointed me at all. I can see why it takes them a year and a half to make one season. The visuals are amazing.
Aww, but it’s not bad in your opinion is it? I’ve heard many differing opinions so far.
No, it’s not bad. I wish the characters would grow, develop, learn. They’re kind of stuck in adolescence. But other than that it’s a good show.
I can see what you mean. Did you like the ending? I think season 3 I’d going to be insane!
I have 2 episodes left, so I don’t know yet if I like the ending.:-)
Oh my bad. I hope you like it!
You’re up early!
Haha, yeah. For some reason this week my sleep cycle has been very off.
