Cover & Blurb Reveal – The BEK Curse by Jonathan Pongratz

Good Morning Bookworms!

I’ve been talking about my new novelette The BEK Curse for some time, but today I finally get to share the cover and blurb with you!

This story of mine will be published by Solstice Empire, and I’m currently looking over a final version of the work before green lighting it. Very shortly after that, it will be released, so get ready!

I’ll keep everyone up to date with an announcement along with relevant links.

In the meantime, check out my cover and blurb below!

The cover is more gritty and raw versus my other ones so far, and I really like that. It gives it a more harrowing aesthetic.

Blurb

Early retirees Maria and Richard Wilcox adore their new home out in the country. The past six months have been sheer bliss as they settled in and prepared for their golden years.

Until the night they answer a knock on their door.

The unexpected visitors are a pair of children. Richard tries to be cordial, but something about the kids is off. Something sinister, something menacing, something inhuman.

And then the children demand to be let in.

What do they want? Is this all a prank? Can Maria and Richard get them to go away, or will their dreams of a peaceful retirement together go up in flames?

Thoughts?

What do you think about the cover and blurb? Does it peak your interest? Tell me in the comments if you’re inclined to do so, and have a wonderful day!

  1. I don’t read much horror (because I jump at every rustle in the house afterward 😀 ) but am definitely intrigued by that cover and blurb. So much so that I think I’ll step out of my comfort zone and read the book -and blame you for the nightmares, obviously.

    • Hey, horror isn’t for everyone. Honestly, I would classify this more as light horror, with more emphasis on the suspense and paranormal aspect. So who knows, this might be the perfect amount of scary for ya!
