2025 Update: A Focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Hello Everyone!

Thanks so much for all of your continued viewership and support in keeping my site alive and well. I wanted to take a moment to let you know about some changes going forward.

As always, you can expect new book releases, book reviews, author interviews, miscellaneous videos, and the occasional movie review here, but seeing as my goal is to become an employed librarian sometime this year, I want to put my money where my mouth is and more fully embrace being a force for the public good in the world.

So what does that mean?

Well, as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and someone who deeply values the voices that aren’t always heard, I’ve decided to put a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) going forward. The easiest way to accomplish this is to participate in heritage months. If you aren’t aware, heritage months exist to celebrate various ethnic and marginalized groups. This helps to not only shed light on their histories and lived experiences, but to honor their viewpoint and contributions to the world at large.

In that spirit, I am more than happy to put an emphasis on DEI. This will come in the form of posts that I normally do and will probably center on books and film, but I don’t want to back myself into a corner so I am leaving opportunities open at the moment.
