Happy Black History Month, Readers! 

As I mentioned in an earlier post, this is my first year contributing to heritage months with my blog. It’s so important to highlight voices that aren’t always heard, and I truly believe that we can all do something in some small way to highlight others that deserve some spotlight.

For Black History Month, I’ll be dedicating some of my time to reading novels and watching films by black artists. Not all posts during this month will be centered on Black History Month, but it will be a focus.

I’m not a huge historical fiction person, so my picks may end up being in my preferred genres of horror, scifi, and fantasy, but the end result is the same, that I expose myself (and all you awesome readers!) to works of fiction by talented Black artists.

As a reminder, this site is a safe place for individuals from all walks of life, so long as you don’t disrespect or attempt to diminish the integrity of marginalized individuals. You have a safe space here, and I thank you for stopping by to my little slice of the internet!
