Good Morning Vigilantes and Avengers,

Not much to report here, so I’ll keep things brief. With the sorry state of the world lately I’ve been wanting to dive into some feminist rage works of fiction. I’ve had Dead Red and Razor by Tim Lebbon on my TBR for some time, so I thought it was time to give it a go!

I absolutely loved Lebbon’s The Silence, so based on that this story should knock it right out of the park, right?

Alright, let’s see how things went!

The Review

Holy moly, what an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride!

Red is a hired gun, and she’s great at it too. After a successful hit she gets a call that shocks her to the core. The hired gun that killed the only man she ever loved has a hit on them. Red takes the proposition, unknowing that she may not be the only one with a score to settle.

I loved how action packed this story was! From beginning to end this was a constant battle and I was glued to my seat every second. This has very Kill Bill-esque vibes, so if that’s what you’re looking for this is perfect for you.

Red was an enigmatic main character. She’s very guarded and doesn’t like to let people in, so travelling in her head space was very interesting and pulled at my heartstrings at the darker bits. Although the other characters don’t get too much limelight, their personalities really jumped off the page and they felt real.

Zero complaints with this story. If you love action and thrills that don’t let up, you have to give this a go!
