Weekly Progress Update!
Good Morning Everyone,
How’s your weekend going? Good I hope! I had a lot of down time this weekend, so it’s been quite the adventure. That being said, I’m still a tad sleepy this morning, so bear with me.
On a personal note, this week hasn’t been too special. I’ve just continued plugging away at the normal things according to my schedule. Work has been a little light lately, so I’ve been a tad restless, but there are big changes happening at the law firm.
On the bookish side of things, I finished Middlegame by Seanan McGuire and started The Devil’s Apprentice by Kenneth B. Andersen.
Ultimately, I was a tad disappointed with my experience in Middlegame, but there are some really strong positives too. If you’d like to check out my review from earlier this week, click here.
As far as The Devil’s Apprentice, I will say I’m enjoying it, but I’m leaving it at that because I’m not spoiling the adventure! I’m involved in the blog tour for this book, so keep an eye out for my post this coming Thursday!
On the watching side of things, I finished watching GLOW, season 3 on netflix.
As always, this was a good light watch and a breakoff from all things horror. Hey, sometimes you just need something light and fun. If you’d like to check out my review, click here.
I also finished another show (not telling you, that would spoil the surprise factor!), but haven’t yet had time to write a full review, but let me just say, you’re gonna love it!
On the writing side of things, things are going well with plotting out my Reaper sequel. Like I said last week, I went back to the beginning of the second act and was seriously fleshing out everything.
Well, I finished fully (or close to fully) fleshing out the first three chapters (9-11), and decided that I’m going to start writing them next week. If I’m being honest, thirteen chapters for my second act is great and all, but fully fleshing out the whole thing before writing doesn’t seem as realistic as it first did.
Wish me luck!
My Other Published Work
Speaking of my writing , I’d like one last reminder that I have a blog tour coming for the first book in my series on the last week of August.
You can also check out my debut novella Reaper here before the blog tour if you’d like.
That’s a Wrap!
All right, so that was it for my week. How did yours go? Did you do well on your writing and reading projects? Anything interesting you’d like to share?
Do you have any great recommendations in TV, movies, or books? Feel free to share in the comments!
Thanks for stopping by everyone, and Happy Sunday!
