Weekly Progress Update!

Good Morning Everyone,

Talk about a week, am I right?

Personally, I’ve been looking forward to this weekend the entire workweek, so that’s made me a tad on the restless side, and for more than one reason. But I won’t bore you with those details. The good news is that the weekend isn’t over yet!

Have you made any special Labor Day plans this weekend or tomorrow? Yesterday I had some friends over for board games and today there’s a swimming party I’m attending, though I don’t believe the high is more than the mid 80’s. Either way, I’ll have fun.

All right, let’s get into things that happened this week!

Books

On the bookish side of things, I finished Teri Polen’s The Gemini Connection and just started Aurora Rising.

I absolutely loved The Gemini Connection and couldn’t be happier! I’m really excited to continue reading more of Teri Polen’s work, and she’s got some other works coming out next year. Basically I was instantly a fan of her work, and you can see why if you read her writing.

I also started Aurora Rising, but haven’t quite developed an opinion yet. It’s entertaining, and that’s about all I can say so far. Stay tuned for more on this one!

TV/Movies

With the blog tour of my debut novella Reaper, I haven’t had a lot of time for some rest and relaxation until the weekend, but I have started watching several brand spanking new shows and watched a couple movies worthy of posting, so you will be seeing some great recommendations soon!

My Writing

On the writing side of things, I’ve been fairly consistent this week. Last week I mentioned that I was feeling a little lazy with my writing, so this week I really stuck to my scheduled time to write and read, and it’s going well.

I’m about done with the second scene of the first chapter in my second act, and while things are going slow, its steady and I’m poring over the details for a reason. I wish I could tell you more, but I can’t. Regardless, when you’re establishing something big in a story, sometimes its good to take a slower pace in writing.

That’s a Wrap!

Well, that’s it for my week. How did yours go? Did you do well on your writing and reading projects? Anything interesting you’d like to share?

Do you have any great recommendations in TV, movies, or books? Feel free to share in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, and Happy Sunday!
