Weekly Progress Update!

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Sunday! How was your week?

Personally, mine was a little chaotic. As you may know, there have been some events at work that have been both good and bad. There are still some things going on that have really developed into something else, and I can’t really say much right now, but I feel the winds of change a blowing.

Regardless of what happens, I’ll definitely keep you guys posted on things going on as they develop.

Personal things aside, lets get into the other great things in my life!

Books

On the bookish side of things, I started reading Dark Places by Gillian Flynn.

I’m just about halfway through right now, and I’m still conflicted. Usually I have some kind of idea of what I’m going to rate a book, but this one is proving especially difficult.

I still don’t necessarily like the main character of this book, as her ambitions aren’t really something I can get behind, but the mystery of things is pulling me along at a decent pace.

Keep your eyes peeled for my review to come sometime this week, probably on the later end like Thursday or Friday.

TV/Movies

On the watching side of things, I saw Ma.

While this movie wasn’t the absolute best, I still had a lot of fun watching it. This was a good, solid slasher thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat despite some flaws.

My Writing

On the writing side of things, this week was again pretty productive despite having to work some overtime at work this week.

I continued my eleventh chapter of the Reaper sequel, and my word count for this week was about 2300 words, almost ten pages.

I’m really proud of myself and am hoping to get maybe 2,000 words this following week (I’m not expecting miracles), but given the changes happening around my day job, I can’t really guarantee anything except to try.

That’s all we can do sometimes, right?

That’s a Wrap!

All right, that’s it for my week. How did yours go? Did you do well on your writing and reading projects? Anything interesting you’d like to share?

Do you have any great recommendations in TV, movies, or books? Feel free to share in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, and Happy Sunday!

  1. I learned from reading this week that I like variety in sentence structure when I’m reading. Then I looked critically at my own writing . . . sentence structure variety is something I need to work on, too!

Hope things go smoothly at work this week for you and your coworkers.

    • Yeah, Ma was great! Give it a shot if you want something that’s not too terribly scary.

Haha, we will definitely see on Dark Places. I hope to get some serious reading accomplished today. Fingers crossed its good!
