Weekly Progress Update!
Good Morning Folks,
How the heck are ya? Doing great I hope!
Is it just me, or has this week been long? I’ve been putting in a lot of OT this week, so it’s been pretty hard to keep up my routine, but somehow I managed to pull it off.
If you’re going through a similar situation, give yourself a big pat on the back! Things will get better in time.
Given my situation for this week, this update won’t be the most extensive, but nonetheless there were some really great things this week.
Books
On the bookish side of things, I started reading Pet Sematary this week.
Due to time constraints I haven’t gotten far on this one, but it’s been a good slow burn so far and I’m really enjoying my journey.
Also, I purchased a bunch of books that I five-starred earlier this year and got them in the mail!
I was super happy to put them on my physical bookshelves at home and have them on display should I have friends over. Obviously I love talking about books, haha!
TV/Movies
On the watching side of things, I reviewed the film Hereditary this week.
This is easily one of my favorite horror films this year. Toni Collette is so versatile in her acting, and this film was a real gem. Suspense, mystery, and sheer terror made this a movie I’ll definitely be watching again.

Blog Post Deficit
I’ve been falling behind on my blog posts, especially for TV/Movie recommendations, but I am starting to catch up a little bit, so you can expect to see more up-to-date reviews hopefully more frequently.
I simply have to set aside some time on the weekend to review these shows and movies. Wish me luck on catching up, there’s so much good stuff out there!
My Writing
On the writing side of things, there were some really great developments this week.
For starters, I got a new computer to write on!
I have only used this baby maybe three days for writing so far, but I am loving the bigger screen. It really is making things much easier vs. my small-screened laptop I was writing on.
Speaking of writing, I surpassed my weekly goal of 2,000 words!
I wrote a total of 2,850 words this week (about 11 and a half pages) and am really proud of myself. My dayjob’s hours have really drained me, but I stuck to the routine I have religiously and was able to do better than I hoped.
I wrote nearly the entirety of my Chapter 20 in the Reaper sequel. I’m on the last scene, then I’ll keep going with 21. Wish me luck!
That’s a Wrap!
All right, so that was it for my week. How did yours go? Did you do well on your writing and reading projects? Anything interesting you’d like to share?
Do you have any great recommendations in TV, movies, or books? Feel free to share in the comments!

I read the devils apprentice recently as part of a blog tour & though it’s not something I would normally pick up I loved it! Glad your writings coming along, and loving the nice new computer 😊
Omg, I LOVED that book. I even bought a hard copy of it for my bookshelf at home.
Thanks friend! I really do love it so far. The big monitor screen is amazing!
Your writing is really coming along. Good luck with the rest of chapter 20, and chapter 21, too!
I’m reading The Bedwetter by Lee Allen Howard. Oh, it’s a BRUTAL horror novel! But I am “enjoying” it. Howard is a talented writer.
Aw thanks! Hows your writing endeavor coming along?
Ooo I’m gonna check that out on goodreads right now!
Hereditary is such a great movie! Have you seen Midsommar? I can’t wait to see what Ari Aster comes up with next!
Yeah, I did! It was very strange but I did enjoy it.
