Good Morning Peeps,

Is it Friday yet?

Clearly the morning caffeine hasn’t kicked in for me yet, but at least I was awake enough to finish a short story called Eyes I Dare Not Meet In Dreams by Sunny Moraine.

The Review

I gave this short story five dead, refrigerated stars!

The blurb explains the gist of this very short story. Dead girls simply start showing up out of nowhere, coming out of refrigerators.

This story just worked for me if I’m being honest. I loved the dreadful ominous aspect of these dead girls. It was captivating, and though I will admit that there isn’t terribly much that actually happens in this story, I was still swept away in the imagery so much that I couldn’t keep my eyes off the pages as I read.

I mean, bloody girls walking around our planet who are pretty much untouchable? It’s a crazy concept, but a very vivid one.

The writing was simple and to the point, and didn’t try to be more than it was (major kudos there). The language used in it really entertained me as well (f bombs and such).

There is a lot of varying opinions on this story online, but if you’re looking for a brief departure from reality to an foreboding, morbid landscape of possibility, this story just may be the thing to darken up your day!

Happy Reading!

That’s A Wrap!
