WWW Wednesday
Morning World!
How is your week going? Good I hope. If not, just think, this week is halfway over already! Isn’t that amazing?
All right, so let’s get into the meat and potatoes of this post. Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.
This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.
The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.
Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading:
Blurb:
This Hugo Award-winning graphic novel chronicles the fall from grace of a group of super-heroes plagued by all-too-human failings. Along the way, the concept of the super-hero is dissected as the heroes are stalked by an unknown assassin.
Opinion so far:
I’ve only finished two of the twelve comic books so far due to the beta read cycle I’m involved in, but this is some really good stuff. A lot of scenes so far match the movie, and I actually like that. This is not your happy-go-lucky superhero read.
Definitely a very intriguing and entertaining journey so far!
Recently Finished:
Blurb:
In gorgeous and haunting prose, Proulx limns the difficult, dangerous affair between two cowboys that survives everything but the world’s violent intolerance.
My Opinion:
I absolutely loved this heartbreaking gem of a short story. I’m really glad that gay men can now for the most part be open about who they are, though society still has a long way to go to see and treat us as equals.
Next on my TBR:
Opinion so far:
Next up will definitely be more Animorphs time. It’s been a bit longer than usual, and I’ve missed my series (it’s kind of like home to me)! I also decided that once I’m done with all the immediate books on my TBR (about a month or so or hell, maybe for Valentine’s week) I’ll be doing my Animorphs readathon!
After the next Animorphs read, I’ll dig into the second book in the Heaven Sent series by Montre Bible. So excited! (I promise I won’t knock it down the TBR any longer!)
After that, I will of course be reading another short story. I haven’t quite settled on one yet, but I’ve been searching around for the best this week, so I’m hopeful!
That’s a Wrap!
Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.
What does your reading pile look like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!
Happy Reading Everyone!

What are you going to do when you run out of Animorphs?:-)
Oh, definitely Goosebumps, then after that, anything that is somewhat kid-friendly with lots of books in the series
I’m finished with my January TBR so I am using the last few days of the month to catch up on The Waste Lands by Stephen King.
Oh, nice! I think that’s a lovely idea!
Yeah I participate in a Stephen King readalong and I got behind on it because I was waiting for it to get to my library which it never showed up but I realized that there are 2 libraries in my county so I went and picked it up from them.
Well I’m glad you were able to find a copy. Thank goodness for the library system!
Yeah if I would have only realized there was another library in my county sooner lol.
Haha right? Knowledge is power!
So true!! Well now I know for the next time lol.
