Weekly Progress Update!

Good Morning writers and readers,

How has this week treated you? Well I hope!

My week was pretty unconventional to be honest. I hit something on the highway (it was unavoidable, believe me) on Monday and missed work, then on Friday I wasn’t feeling too hot and again missed out on work.

Despite all that, it did end up being a pretty good week. I got to go to a friend’s birthday party on Friday night (after I felt good enough to go out) and went to another birthday party out on the town on Saturday. Lots of birthdays all around lol!

Anywho, let’s take a look at this week in Jaunts & Haunts.

Books

This week in books went pretty well I think!

I finished reading Watchmen by Alan Moore and Animorphs #19, The Departure by KA Applegate. I also started reading Subject A36 by Teri Polen.

Watchmen was a great gritty and dark departure into another world, and I loved every minute of it. Check out my review here.

Animorphs wasn’t so great this time around, but that’s not going to stop me from continuing the series. You can find my review here.

Subject A36 is very good so far, and I’m having fun with the adventure. Can’t wait to see how this all unfolds!

TV/Movies

This week was a tad bit slow for me in terms of actually reviewing things I’ve watched, but I’ve been getting a lot of things ready (like 5+), so next week will have some really good stuff.

I finished watching The Magicians, Season Two as far as this week goes.

This season was a great continuation to the cliffhanger we were given at the end of season one. Though it wasn’t quite as flawless as the first season, it still packed quite a punch that had me hooked.

My Writing

Last but certainly not least, my writing for the week went really well. I kicked my weekly writing goal’s butt!

I wrote a total of 3,182 words on my sequel, or just about 13 pages. I wrote almost the entirety of my Chapter 24 this week, and I’m really happy that things are moving along so swiftly. So far, my sequel is 69,355 words, or 277 pages.

I’m hoping to keep up the momentum on my writing, so I’m boosting next week’s goal to 3,000 words. I know I can do it!

That’s a Wrap!

All right, so that was it for my week. How did yours go? Did you do well on your writing and reading projects? Anything interesting you’d like to share?

Do you have any great recommendations in TV, movies, or books? Feel free to share in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, and Happy Sunday!

  1. It’s no fun hitting something on the road. We have a lot of deer around here, so I can relate.:-(

I watched Veronica on Netflix. It’s a possession story supposedly based on a real event. Anyway, about 5 minutes in I was already hooked and didn’t even notice it was subtitled. Good n scary.:-)

    • Thanks friend. It was a really awful experience, but I’m glad the damage was minimal considering what it could’ve been.

      Oh nice, what’s that about?

I just started Locke and Key and its amazing!
