My Review:

Characters

fourstars

Fun and interesting characters with a score to settle in Gotham.

Plot

fourstars

An entertaining plot that while starting as a slow burner ended up being quite the roller coaster ride.

Flow

fourstars

Pretty good. No annoying subplots or unimportant secondary characters.

Overall Impression

As I relaxed this past weekend, I saw that this movie was available to rent, so I dove right in! Harley Quinn is easily my favorite character in the DC Universe, so much that I did a genderbend version for Halloween two years ago.

Anyways, this movie was pretty solid in entertainment value. The main character is Harley, and her recent breakup with the Joker starts off a chain of events that makes her life a violent roller coaster of vendettas and double crosses.

The characters were pretty good. Each had their reason for their stance on saving the young girl involved, and they all kicked some serious butt. I love that Ewan McGregor is in this movie (he’s my favorite actor), and he played a great psychopathic villain hellbent on attaining power and ruling with fear.

The plot was entertaining as well. It was a bit linear and could’ve been a bit darker if you ask me (especially the fight scenes), but I was pleased with the overall result. The flow didn’t suffer either. DC really stuck to the general premise without any unnecessary bits.

Overall, this movie was the action-packed, villain butt-whooping adventure I was looking for, and while it wasn’t a core-shaker, it’s certainly worth a watch.

Final Score

7/10

  1. I haven’t seen this one, but I know it has mixed reviews. I saw Suicide Squad and enjoyed the ride (except for Leto’s Joker). I love DC, but I’m more of a Marvel girl. However, I’ll watch just about anything with Ewan McGregor

    • Yeah, I saw the mixed reviews too but coildnt pass up on more Harley time.

I too am a Marvel person! I’m wearing my xmen shirt today lol.

Yeah McGregor is hands down the best, and hes so darn handsome!
