WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

How’s it going?

I hope this week is going by fast for you. I wish Friday would come because I’m super excited about a Netflix party I’m hosting for Umbrella Academy Season 2. Is it sad that that’s the highlight of my week? Pft, I don’t care muahaha!

Anyways, back to the post. Books!

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

Blurb:

Jason Kember thinks he’s finally free of his mother’s constant rambling about all things occult. However, after five years of no contact, she calls him in a frenzied state and admits to performing a forbidden ritual. He dismisses her as crazy, but begins to question his beliefs in the face of strange and dark occurrences.

GoodReads

Opinion so far:

I haven’t really started this yet, but the blurb seriously pulled me in. Anything occult is golden in my mind! Fingers crossed this one turns out as amazing as I hope!

Recently Finished:

animorphs36

Blurb:

Morphing into killer whales, the Animorphs discover a whole new world where humans with gills exist in the deep waters below.

GoodReads

Opinion so far:

This one joins the meh bus of other failed installments in the series. The characters weren’t pulled off well in my opinion and the plot felt more filler than anything else. I can’t recommend this one even if you’re rereading the series.

Animorphs #36 Review

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

Next up on the ole TBR is Magic or Die by JP Jackson. This has been on my TBR for a long while, and it’s about time I read it *kicks self*

Following Magic or Die will be my buddy read with Iseult Murphy of Camp Carnage. LGBT AND campy horror? Sign us up! We’re absolutely stoked!

Last but not least is a surprise to my TBR. I put a hold on this book about a month ago and picked it up the other day. Super excited to read this! Patrick Ness is a very skilled writer.

PS: As I was writing this, even more new release holds have come through my library, so it looks like you’ll be getting some super fresh book reviews in the very near future!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.

What does your reading pile look like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!

Happy Reading Everyone!

  1. I’m reading an ARC of Unsafe Words by Loren Rhoads. It’s a sophisticated dark fiction collection. So far so good, so far so great, actually. I am looking forward to the new season of Umbrella Academy too!

    • Interesting. You say sophisticated and that peaks my curiosity.

I’ve been counting down the days since about May, so this is huge for me since I apparently have no life anymore lol
