WWW Wednesday

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!

I hope your week is going well. Keep on trucking!

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Opinion so far:

I’m three-quarters of the way through this book, and I have some mixed feelings. Overall I do like it, but the execution of certain things just fell a bit flat to me.

Stay tuned for my review!

Recently Finished:

scythe

Blurb:

Two teens are forced to murder—maybe each other—in the first in a chilling new series from Neal Shusterman, author of the New York Times bestselling Unwind dystology.

In a world where disease has been eliminated, the only way to die is to be randomly killed (“gleaned”) by professional reapers (“scythes”). Citra and Rowan are teenagers who have been selected to be scythe’s apprentices, and—despite wanting nothing to do with the vocation—they must learn the art of killing and come to understand the necessity of what they do.

Only one of them will be chosen as a scythe’s apprentice. And when it becomes clear that the winning apprentice’s first task will be to glean the loser, Citra and Rowan are pitted against one another in a fight for their lives.

GoodReads

Opinion so far:

This novel had me bookmatized, pure and simple. The amazing dystopian word-building, the crazy plot, the widely differing characters, I was hooked!

This one is going on my physical bookshelf at home and quickly become a favorite. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Book Review: Scythe

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

Alright, so yes my future TBR looks a little short. That’s because I have yet to re-evaluate what I’m reading for the rest of the year.

With work and writing in full swing I get little time to myself, but I should have some more information next week.

For now, I am simply finishing my library rentals, starting with The Fell of Dark, then moving on to The Fascinators.

Wish me luck!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.
