WWW Wednesday
Happy Hump Day World!
The weekend is halfway here! Aren’t you excited? I’m going to a local haunted spot called the Belvoir Winery on Sunday and couldn’t be more stoked. It also helps that they have wonderful wine, haha!
Anywho, back to the post.
Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.
This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.
The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.
Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?

Daniel is desperate for a fresh start. So when a mysterious figure slides a note under his door offering the position of groundskeeper at an ancient estate, he leaps at the chance, even though it seems too good to be true. Alarm bells start ringing when he arrives at Craven Manor. The abandoned mansion’s front door hangs open, and leaves and cobwebs coat the marble foyer. It’s clear no one has lived here in a long time…but he has nowhere else to go.
Against his better judgment, he moves into the groundskeeper’s cottage tucked away behind the old family crypt. But when a candle flickers to life in the abandoned tower window, Daniel realizes he isn’t alone after all. Craven Manor is hiding a terrible secret…
One that threatens to bury him with it.

Opinion so far:
I’m only about 10% in, but so far I’m enjoying it. The manor is a haunting presence that really makes you feel creeped out. Also, Kyle is a douche. There, I said it. I feel so bad for the main character Daniel. I have high hopes for this one!

The Helmacrons need more power to escape the earth’s atmosphere, so they have returned to demand the morphing cube. When Rachel tries to destroy their ship, the tiny egomaniacs bail — right into Marco’s left nostril. And the other Animorphs have to get them out before the little aliens do some real damage.

Opinion so far:
This is probably my least favorite of all the Animorphs books this far. The plot was underwhelming, the characters made decisions that didn’t make enough sense, and I ended the book feeling straight up disappointed. I recommend skipping this one if you have the Animorphs reading fever.
Book Review: Animorphs #42, The Journey
Next on my TBR:
Opinion so far:
November is coming up, and I’ll be switching the gears a bit. I have to finish my edits on the Reaper Sequel and get an ARC ready. I also have an ARC of a good friend of mine that I’ll start reading once I’m done with The Girl Who Wasn’t There, so if I do read anything on top of the ARC it’ll be shorter works of fiction. I also want to do another Animorphs readathon this upcoming month to ensure I finish the series this year, but we’ll just have to see. All that being said, here’s what’s up next:
First up, The Girl Who Wasn’t There. I picked this up months ago because it reminded me of my novella Reaper. This will be my last Halloween read, and I hope to end with a proper bang!
After that I’ll be reading my dear friend Tiffany Harmon’s (for my interview with her, click here)Â book Suburban Secrets. I’ve followed her for a while and was really impressed with a former short story of hers, so I’m really excited to give this a go!
Last but not least is The Starlight Watchmaker. I’ve owned this for quite some time, and you know I love a chance to clear up my TBR! Crossing my fingers it’s a great read!
Wish my luck on my reading journey, and good luck to you too!
That’s a Wrap!
Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.
