Weekly Progress Update!
Good Morning Everyone, and Happy Father’s Day!
Before I get into my weekly update, I’d like to take a moment to thank my mom. I always do this on father’s day. She was pretty much both my mom and dad throughout my life, and she tought me how to be a great person, not just a good one. Love you!
Whoever your parental figure is, take a moment to thank them. They’ll definitely appreciate that.
All right, so what have I been up to this week? A lot, of course!
On the reading side, I finished two books this week. Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered, and Megamorphs #1, The Andalite’s Gift.
Both were 4-star ratings from me, and I really enjoyed reading them. I’m currently on a brief book break, but I’ll start up again either tonight or tomorrow morning.
On the tv/movie side, I was able to watch I Am Mother and Greta.
Although I enjoyed both of them and they are in different genres, I Am Mother definitely wins out. I really felt that whoever created this movie put in a ton of effort to make it original and captivating, and I can definitely see myself watching it again.
On the writing side, things are moving swiftly. I finished writing Chapter 7 this week and started plotting out Chapter 8, the last chapter in the first act. I’m pretty much done with plotting out the basics of Chapter 8, but since I’ll be writing it right after I’m done, I’m fleshing it out more so the writing comes easier.
So far, I’ve got about 19,000 words in (about 76 pages), and once I’m done with the first act, I may take a week to polish what I have so far and then its on to plotting out my second act! I’m guesstimating that the book in its entirety will be about twice the current length, so 38,0000 words, about 150 pages or more.
As far as my debut novella goes, the blog tour that will occur in late August is really picking up some steam. Last time I checked, a total of 13 blogs had signed up! Speaking of which, if you’d like to sign up, it’s not too late! Simply click here or check out R&R Book Tours.
As always, you can check out my debut novella Reaper here before the blog tour. If you like Young Adult Horror/Thriller, this is for you! Take a moment to check it out and read the free preview on GoodReads or Amazon.
Well, that’s about it for me. How did your week go? How are your writing projects going? Have a great book, tv, or movie recommendation? Tell me all about it!
Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Father’s Day!
