Weekly Progress Update!

Happy Sunday Everyone,

How was your week? Did you get some good things accomplished? I hope so!

This week has been very long for me. I’ve been putting in plenty of extra hours in at work (even on Saturday), but it’s really paying off financially, and to top it off I got a big extra present from my employer, so things are really great in that aspect.

Couldn’t be happier at the moment!

Anywho, let’s get into some great things that happened this week.

Books

On the bookish side of things, it’s been a pretty good week!

I read Heaven Sent by Montre Bible, Locked Away by Ashley Greathouse, and Animorphs #15, The Escape.

Heaven Sent was my first time reading a Christian-themed urban fantasy, and I loved it! Review here.

Locked Away was a fun short story involving witches, power, and sacrifice. Review here.

And Animorphs was really exceptional this time around. Loved the underwater theme, and Marco was fleshed out even more. You can find my review here.

After I finished Animorphs, I haven’t started reading the next book on my list quite yet. I’m trying to take more time off between books to focus on writing and the like. That should be my #1 priority, and I’m trying to get back there.

TV/Movies

On the watching side of things, this week was a little light. I switched things up by watching Iliza Shlesinger’s special Unveiled on Netflix.

Man, was this special hilarious or what? I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time, and I can’t wait to see the other three of her specials on Netflix. You can see my review here.

I’ve still got a terrible backlog of blog posts involving things I’ve watched, so please bear with me on my catchup. Taking more time between books will hopefully allow me to get in a couple extra posts here and there. Thanks for understanding!

My Writing

On the writing side of things, this week I met my weekly goal of 2,000 words!

In the end, I wrote 2,500 words, or ten pages. Yay! So basically I finished writing Chapter 19 and will get started on Chapter 20 tomorrow. Happy that my plans are going along well.

Lets hope I can keep up the momentum!

That’s a Wrap!

All right, so that was it for my week. How did yours go? Did you do well on your writing and reading projects? Anything interesting you’d like to share?

Do you have any great recommendations in TV, movies, or books? Feel free to share in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, and Happy Sunday!

      • Yeah the past couple years I’ve been enjoying fitting in some seasonal reads. Yeah King was hit or miss for me at first but the more I read the more I enjoy his books now. 😊

      • You know, I was thinking of doing that myself, but I’m just so damned picky! I cant make up my mind.

Yeah, I’ve probably read about 10-15 of his books and they are great

      • I will give anything a chance so long as the synopsis sounds interesting enough to me.

I’ve probably read about that many of his books as well and there have been a few that I didn’t care for .
