WWW Wednesday

Happy Hump Day Folks!

How the heck are ya? Good I hope!

Personally, I’m feeling that this week is WAY too real, don’t you? I am really going to need some serious book time this weekend.

Speaking of which, let’s get into this post, yeah?

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

In this meme challenge you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

This meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Foster Stewart knows she’s different. Her life has never been “normal.” Talking to plants and controlling cloud formations aren’t things most seventeen year olds are into. Tate “Nighthawk” Taylor is perfect. Star quarterback and all around dreamy boy next door he never thought about his “extra” abilities. What quarterback wouldn’t want night vision? That’s not weird, right? It’s cool!

But on the night of their first meeting a deadly tornado brings them together and awakens their true abilities – the power to control the element air. Unbeknown to Tate and Foster, they are the first in a group of teens that were genetically manipulated before birth to bond with the elements. Which truly sucks for Foster, as she has to face the fact that Dr. Rick Stewart, her beloved scientist father, betrayed her and now wants to use her and the others for his own nefarious world domination plot.

Foster and Tate must stop Dr. Stewart and his minions before he destroys their lives and the world.

Opinion so far:

I have to be frank, I’m not really enjoying this overall. However, I am also in the last 10 pages, so I’m going to finish this book very soon. Keep your eyes peeled for the review!

What’s tasty, good for you, and only takes sixty seconds to make? Oatmeal. And it’s making the Yeerks more than a little crazy. Now Rachel, the other Animorphs, and Ax have a new weapon against the Yeerks. Sounds good, right?

My Opinion:

While this book wasn’t a five-star for me, it was pretty close! The stakes are still high, there’s plenty of adventure, and oatmeal is a central theme. What’s not to love, right? Definitely a good quick read!

Opinion so far:

TBR order change!

Okay, it may seem minor from your perspective, but I had to completely reorder my reads for the next month due to the Martha Wells books I got in the mail.

Next up will be “Eyes I Dare Not Meet in Dreams.” Based on the snippit I saw, the language was very blunt, and I immediately wanted to read it.

After that, more Animorphs!

And last but certainly not least is the second book in Martha Wells Murderbot Diaries series, Artificial Condition. Can’t wait to dig in!

All of these are relatively short, so I am praying that by the grace of the book gods I’ll be able to read all three next week. Wish me luck!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.

What does your reading pile look like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!

  1. I haven’t participated in WWW Wednesday in weeks! Mostly because of the holidays, but also because I just forgot this week. Too many things flying around in my brain, I guess. I love that you’re still continuing with the Animorph series, Jonny.

    • Yeah, the holidays can get crazy, though mine were super simple. Hey, life gets crazy, don’t feel bad!

Aww thanks, I’m determined to read every single one of them, darnit!
