WWW Wednesday

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Hump Day!

How the heck are ya?

I’m over this week. Like O-V-E-R! Work has been incredibly stressful due to … well, the lack of common sense in my opinion, but luckily today is my Friday!

That’s right, this guy is off til Monday after today!

Unfortunately, plans for July 4th do not include a pool due to the current health crisis. I don’t want to put anything to chance, but I’m sure I’ll find some human-free fun things to do, like those video games I bought on that Steam sale the other day…

Anyways, back to the post at hand!

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

The only purebred vampire left on the planet and the leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who killed his parents centuries ago. But when his most trusted fighter is killed—orphaning a half-breed daughter unaware of her heritage or her fate—Wrath must put down his dagger and usher the beautiful female into another world.

Racked by a restlessness in her body that wasn’t there before, Beth Randall is helpless against the dangerously sexy man who comes to her at night with shadows in his eyes. His tales of the Brotherhood and blood frighten her. Yet his touch ignites a dawning new hunger—one that threatens to consume them both…

Opinion so far:

I’ve loved vampires ever since reading Anne Rice in high school, so this was a great pick for my buddy read with Misty’s Book Space.

It’s more of a slow burn for me as far as the reading pace goes, but I am enjoying the mystery, action, and lust/romance going on, despite rolling my eyes just the tiniest bit here and there.

Hoping to finish this today or tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Recently Finished:

Cassie’s losing her mind. But she’s gaining the mind of another. Aldrea — daughter of Seerow, Andalite Prince. Aldrea’s persona, her memory, and a valuable bit of information now belong to Cassie.

My Opinion:

This was a fun, creative continuation of the Animorphs Saga, and I feel like Cassie’s POV was done pretty well despite former disappointments of her POV novels. Scifi and mystery aplenty in this one!

Animorphs #34, The Prophecy Review

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

Busy busy busy! That’s what my TBR is, but are you really surprised? Nahhh.

Alright, so I got a surprise notification from my library saying that The House on the Cerulean Sea was ready, so instead of Animorphs I’m reading this first.

Following that, another buddy read with Iseult Murphy! Hooray! This is the sequel to Small Spaces, and I’m super excited for some chills.

After that will finally be my next Animorphs read. Can’t wait!

And last but certainly not least is my buddy read with Gigi aka The Beachy Reader. This one looks creepy too, and my library is now doing curbside pickup again, so I’m getting this one today. Hooray!

That’s a Wrap!

Okay folks, that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week.

What does your reading pile look like? Have you read any of the books on my list? Do you have any opinions or feedback on the books I chose? Feel free to share in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe or follow my bookish journeys!

Happy Reading Everyone!

    • Haha, steal away!

Oh yeah? I’m really excited about reading it, especially since I’ve been waiting in the library hold lines for so long.

Thanks, have a great Fourth! I’ll still pop in on here from time to time. 🙂

      • I think my local library went nuts buying stuff when the pandemic first hit so I ended up getting the ebook pretty soon after putting it on hold…so, is that a bright side of the pandemic?

      • Oh I believe it. My new library has a ton of books, way more than the other one did. So glad I moved!

Yeah I was like #39 in place and really discouraged and then bam! It was my turn in just a couple weeks. Book must be really good

      • I’m only two chapters in, but I do love it immensely!I sincerely hope the terrible people in his life get their comeuppance tenfold.

    • Oh yeah, I’m a busy, busy guy! I guess I prefer to stay that way most of the time.

Actually, I have a digital board game night with my best friends, so I’m looking forward to that.

I’m also cooking something of a small feast for myself. Super excited!
