WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

Not much to report here, so let’s get right into the post!

Every Wednesday I participate in a meme called WWW Wednesday.

This meme is a challenge where you simply share what you’re reading, what you’ve recently finished, and what you hope to read in the near future.

www

The meme is currently handled by Taking On A World of Words, and anybody can participate.

Simply read the 3 W questions below and answer them should you want to:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

Blurb:

Defeated, crushed, and driven almost to extinction, the remnants of the human race are trapped on a planet that is constantly attacked by mysterious alien starfighters. Spensa, a teenage girl living among them, longs to be a pilot. When she discovers the wreckage of an ancient ship, she realizes this dream might be possible—assuming she can repair the ship, navigate flight school, and (perhaps most importantly) persuade the strange machine to help her. Because this ship, uniquely, appears to have a soul.

Opinion so far:

So far I’m at about 40% of the way through with this buddy read with my pal Gigi, and I’m having a good time! There’s a nice little adventure of self-discovery going on with the MC, and although it’s not quite what I expected, it’s very readable and entertaining. Not phenomenal, but a solid read so far.

Stay tuned for my review! Hoping to finish maybe end of week or sometime during the weekend.

Blurb:

The Solon is ill. If he dies, Sofia will be forced not only to fight for her son’s right to rule, but will also face making good on a promise she made to the gods long ago. A promise she no longer wishes to fulfill.

As fate catapults her from joy to sorrow, from hope to despair, and from certainty to doubt, Sofia finds herself trapped between her two strongest desires.
In this final part of the Domna serial, the struggle for power grows to its deadliest proportions yet and the choices Sofia must make will tear her world apart.

Opinion:

This was a great stunning conclusion to the Domna series. Lots of great heartache, mystery, and action. Highly recommend reading this series!

Next on my TBR:

Opinion so far:

Alright, so I had to make a last minute change to my TBR due to my forgetfulness. Oi, get it together Jonny!

I’m involved in a blog tour of Tripping the Multiverse by Alison Lyke, so I’ll be reading that next. I don’t know the author, but the blurb sounded right up my alley. Hope it’s good!

After that, I’ll be reading Past Legends by A.F. Stewart. I feel like I’ve talked a lot about this one, but I enjoyed Eternal Myths (the prequel to this) and think I’ll love it. Here’s hoping!

Last but not least is 7 Weeks in Hell by Iseult Murphy. I’ve also been talking about this for a while now. Just know that I enjoyed the first book 7 Days in Hell and am looking forward to reading

Wish me luck on my reading journey, and best of luck to you as well!
