Happy Sunday Funday Everyone!

Hope you’re having a great weekend. So far I spent a lot of time with friends catching up, and even had something of a date last night, so I’ve been keeping busy for sure.

This week has been a little rough personally. Things at work are a little chaotic. There’s a lot of change going on, and not everyone is seeing eye to eye. I’m hopeful that next week things go a little smoother.

Also, I just paid off my credit card on Friday, so I’m a very debt-free Jonny, but I’m always brokity broke broke, so I’ve been trying to distract myself with friends outside of the apartment to veer away from spending money I don’t currently have. Wish me luck! I only have to last until next Friday and then things will be a lot better.

Books

On the bookish side of things, I’m still reading Aurora Rising.

I’m about two-thirds of the way in and am enjoying it pretty well. Lots of sci fi greatness here, though I don’t think it outdoes The Gemini Connection so far. Anywho, stay tuned for my review of this book, which I hope to have done by maybe sometime Tuesday.

TV/Movies

On the watching side of things, this week went a little better than prior weeks. I watched Book Club and Alita: Battle Angel.

Book Club was a great comedy and my person favorite this week, worth plenty of laughs. To see my review, click here.

However, Alita: Battle Angel I had some issues with. The action was fun, I just felt that the characters were a bit two-dimensional and the plot not fully realized. To see my review, click here.

My Writing

On the writing side of things, this week actually turned out to be alright.

I finished the first chapter of my second act (yay!) at 4,000 words and am currently combing over it again for a quick polish before moving on. Since the beginning of my second act really changes things, so I had to move extremely careful with a plethora of things going on, but I think I ultimately managed to do a good job.

Looking forward to more great progress!

Things to Come

Brief reminder, don’t forget that from 9/16/19 (not 9/15/19 like I originally said) through 11/15/19 I’ll be switching things up a bit with my Festival of Frights.

Most things on here will stay the same, like WWW Wednesday and my weekly updates on Sunday, but several things will be geared more towards the spirit of Halloween.
